Sunday, 21st July 2024, marked another milestone in the car detailing world as Waxstock, Europe's largest specialist car care event, returned with its 2024 edition. This year's event was a whirlwind of excitement, innovation, and networking, attracting enthusiasts, professionals, and global car detailing brands from all corners of the car detailing industry, creating a melting pot of all things car care and car detailing. Amidst this buzzing environment, Duel was present, loud and proud! Waxstock 2024 was our third consecutive year exhibiting and our best yet!
Waxstock has been the car detailing industry-recognised exhibition for Eleven years now, with last year's two-day event signalling the 10th anniversary. This year's event, Waxstock 11, is still Europe’s largest gathering of car detailing, valeting and car care names and was held once again at Coventry Arena. As the name suggests, and for those that don’t know, it’s an unashamed celebration of the great and the good within the car detailing and car cleaning industry and a ‘must-see’ for anyone who enjoys car detailing their motor.
A Star-Studded Attendance
Waxstock 2024 boasted a stellar lineup of the world's leading car care / car detailing brands. Esteemed global name brands like G-Techniq with their vast range of respected ceramic coatings, Chemical Guys, FLEX featuring a whole host of corded and cordless power tools, polishers and accessories, 3D Car Care, and Rupes who were showcasing the new HLR15 and HLR21 battery powered machine polishers, were in attendance, so Duel was in good company. There were lots of impressive stands showcasing their latest car detailing products and innovations. The presence of these global giants only elevated the event's prestige, creating a platform where Duel Autocare's participation shone even brighter showcasing the very best in car detailing products.
Duel Autocare's Electrifying Presence
Duel Autocare’s stand was a hive of activity from the moment the doors opened. The meticulously designed stand, thanks Lee (co-founder), not only attracted attention but held it. Visitors were drawn in by the huge, electrifying Duel logo neon sign, the promise of top-tier car detailing products, an array of product video content being played on the big screen and the opportunity to pick the brains of the Duel team and take some selfies! Among the offerings, the newly launched SNOW LUX range quickly became the star of the show with a complete sellout! Other new releases were also snapped up with the brand new Duel Tyre Dressing Applicator and Duel Tyre Cleaning Brush also completely selling out before lunchtime!
Other firm car detailing favourites, Bahama Blue Concentrated Shampoo, FLEX Concentrated Polymer Sealant and The Duel Pet Hair Remover also flew off the shelves.
The SNOW LUX Range: A Game Changer For Coloured Foams!
The SNOW LUX coloured snow foam range range, Duel Autocare's latest innovation, captured the curiosity and admiration of the car detailing community and seasoned professionals. This new range promises to rewrite everything you have known or experienced with coloured Snow Foam previously. SNOW LUX promises unparalleled results and experience. It combines three key points: cleaning power, powerful fragrances, and vivid colours, a genuine enhancement to your Pre-Wash Snow Foam experience with cutting-edge technology and a user-friendly application. The range's exceptional performance was evident as products flew off the shelves, with a complete sellout by midday.
Other coloured snow foam offerings on the market generally have a pH-neutral composition and severely lack cleaning power. So, other than looking the part and giving the neighbours something to talk about during your weekend car cleaning routine, what is the point of them? You could reference these products as ‘Show Foams’—all show and no GO! We bucked the trend with SNOW LUX and are incredibly proud of our creation.
Main Stage Spotlight with Sam
A pivotal moment for Duel Autocare at Waxstock 2024 was when Sam, co-founder, took to the main stage. In a session hosted by the charismatic Steven McMahon of Geeky Detail Reviews who is highly respected in the car detailing industry and delivered to the attending audience, Sam delved into the intricacies of the SNOW LUX range. The engaging discussion covered the inspiration behind the products, the innovative technology employed, and the real-world results that users can expect.
Steven McMahon, known for his thorough and insightful car detailing product reviews, publicised on various social media channels, facilitated a lively and informative dialogue, making it accessible for novice and experienced detailers. The session was a resounding success. It further amplified interest in the SNOW LUX coloured snow foam range and cemented Duel Autocare's reputation in the industry.
Steve touched on various points that are up for discussion with other Coloured Snow Foams, such as the chemical composition, poor cleaning performance, and even the inability to hold the colour for a period of time. We were able to discuss and answer all of these questions in front of the live audience.
Community and Connections
Beyond car detailing product showcases and sales, Waxstock 2024 celebrated the car detailing /car care community. Duel Autocare's team engaged with visitors, sharing tips, stories, and experiences with many followers from our social media channels and new and old customers. The stand became a hub for networking, where enthusiasts could connect with the team, ask questions, and gain insights into the brand's ethos and future plans.
Old friendships were rekindled, and new ones were made. Authorised Duel stockists also stopped by the stand for a catch up, which was awesome. Special mention to Antony and Rebecca from Becton Detailing Supplies, who stopped for a chat and discuss their own experiences stocking the Duel range. This is another reason why shows or exhibitions like this are invaluable to us as a brand. New stockist inquiries were made on the day so we hope to bring even more stockists to your local area wherever you may be in the country.

Reflections and Future Aspirations
Reflecting on Waxstock 2024, it's clear that Duel Autocare made a significant impact. The event cemented the brand's commitment to not only excellence but also the car detailing industry.
Looking ahead, Duel Autocare aims to build on this show season's momentum with attendances at GRAVITY 2024 at The NEC Birmingham on August 26th and 27th which is UK's Largest Modified & Supercar Show and the show season curtain-closer, Ultimate Stance, on October 27th. The feedback and enthusiasm garnered at Waxstock will undoubtedly fuel the brand's journey forward, inspiring new car detailing products and improvements that meet the evolving needs of the car detailing community.
Show Stoppers
Among the array of car detailing brands in attendance was a selection of meticulously maintained vehicles, all competing for the coveted show-and-shine prizes. The Top 16 showdown competition is the most prestigious car detailing awards in the UK and the competition was fierce, but the overall winner was this immaculate Classic Fiat 500, followed very closely in second place by the R53 Mini, which was exceptionally clean!
Third place was awarded to John Clough of Advance Detail, a well known figure in the car detailing world based in Leeds. John had on display his absolutely stunning Renault 5 GT ( Our personal favourite!) John has been building this car in preparation for its first show outing the past 5 years, restoring it to better than ever glory, well done John!
