The Finger Scrub Mitt slips over your fingers, so the pressure comes from your fingertips rather than your palm. One side is a nylon bristle fabric that lifts grime out of upholstery, carpet, vinyl and plastic; flip it and the other side is soft microfibre for wiping the residue away. One tool, two jobs, and a size that gets into seat seams, vents, switchgear and rails where a flat pad won't reach. Two in a pack.

The Benefits

Why You'll Love It

Pressure Where You Want It

Worn over your fingers, the force comes from your fingertips instead of your whole hand. You feel what you're scrubbing and you can lean on one spot without leaning on everything around it.

Scrub And Wipe In One Tool

Bristle side lifts the grime, microfibre side takes it away. No putting a pad down to pick a cloth up with a wet hand, which is exactly when things get dropped in a footwell.

Gets Into The Awkward Bits

Seat seams, seat rails, vents, switchgear, the gap where the seatbelt buckle lives. A flat pad can't reach them and a folded cloth can't apply pressure there.

Two In A Pack

One for the dirty work and one kept cleaner for finishing, or simply one per hand. At £5.25 for two it's the cheapest upgrade to an interior clean there is.

The Tool

What Is A Finger Scrub Mitt?

Worth being plain about this, because the name is ambiguous: this is a car interior cleaning tool, not an exfoliating glove. It is a small two-sided mitt that fits over your fingers, made from a nylon bristle-type fabric on one face and soft microfibre on the other.

Interior cleaning is different from exterior work in one important way. Outside, you are removing something sitting on a hard surface. Inside, most of what you are cleaning has worked its way into something soft — grime in the weave of a seat, a spill dried into carpet, greasy fingerprint film in the texture of a moulded plastic door card. A flat cloth slides over that texture; it needs agitation to get down into it and lift the dirt out.

That is what the nylon side does. The nylon fibres are stiff enough to work into a weave or a grain and pull contamination up, but soft enough not to mark trim or scuff vinyl. Then you flip to the microfibre face and wipe away the cleaner and everything it has released — which is the step that decides whether a panel looks clean or looks smeared.

The finger fit is what separates it from a flat pad. Your fingertips are far more precise than your palm, so you can put real pressure on one stubborn spot without scrubbing the whole panel, and you can get into narrow gaps where a rectangular pad simply will not go. It was designed as the evolution of our Interior Scrubbing Pad for exactly that reason — and both still have a job, which is what the comparison below covers.

The Short Version

"Interior dirt isn't sitting on the surface, it's down in the weave. You need something that gets into the texture and lifts it out, then something that wipes it away. This is both."

Suitability

Is It Right For You?

Ideal For
  • Fabric seats, carpets and floor mats with ground-in grime
  • Textured plastic door cards, dashboards and sills where fingerprints and film collect
  • Tight spaces — seat seams, seat rails, vents, switchgear, seatbelt buckle surrounds
  • Anyone using Logic who wants the matched agitation tool
  • Spills, stains and marks that a cloth alone will not shift
  • Anyone who finds a flat scrubbing pad awkward to control
Consider An Alternative If…
  • You're covering large flat areas and want to work faster — the Interior Scrubbing Pad has more surface and costs less
  • You only need to wipe rather than scrub — a General Purpose cloth will do
  • You're dressing trim rather than cleaning it — that's Satin on a soft cloth
  • You're working on paint, glass or wheels — this is an interior tool and should stay one
Safe On
  • Fabric upholstery
  • Carpet and floor mats
  • Vinyl and plastic trim
  • Rubber mats
  • Finished leather, with light pressure
Avoid / Take Care
  • Suede — test first, minimal pressure; the nylon face can disturb the nap
  • Piano black and gloss trim — microfibre side only
  • Screens
  • Paintwork and glass
  • Fabric softener and dryer sheets
  • Tumble drying
Application Guide

How To Use It

1
Dilute Logic To Suit The Job

Interior surfaces want a lighter mix than most people use. Start weak; you can always go again. Spray the surface, and mist the nylon face of the mitt as well.

2
Slip It Over Your Fingers, Bristle Side Down

Get it seated properly so it doesn't rotate mid-scrub. The pressure should be coming from your fingertips — that's the point of the product.

3
Agitate Gently, Let The Fibres Work

Small overlapping passes, no heavy pressure. On a seat, work with the weave. On textured plastic, work across the grain so the bristles get into it rather than skate over it.

4
Flip To Microfibre And Wipe

Turn the mitt over and take away the cleaner and everything it has lifted, before it dries back down onto the surface. A separate General Purpose cloth is useful if there's a lot of residue.

5
Rinse As You Go, Wash After

Rinse the nylon side in clean warm water between heavily soiled areas so you aren't moving dirt around. Then machine wash at 30°C with Duel Laundry when the job's done. See our guide: How To Use A Finger Scrub Mitt.

Where the force comes from Your fingertips — lean on one mark without scrubbing everything around it Your palm — even pressure spread across a wider area
Best at Control on a specific spot, and reaching into gaps Getting through a lot of surface quickly

Same two materials, different tool. It comes down to how the force reaches the surface. A pad spreads it across your palm, which is what you want when there's a lot of ground to cover. The mitt concentrates it at your fingertips, which is what you want when one mark needs working at, or when the spot you're aiming for is narrower than your hand. If you do full interiors regularly you'll end up using both in the same session. Browse both at Interior Scrubbers.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a finger scrub mitt used for?
It is a car interior cleaning tool, not an exfoliating glove. It fits over your fingers and has two working faces: a nylon bristle side that agitates grime out of upholstery, carpet, vinyl and plastic trim, and a soft microfibre side that wipes the cleaner and released dirt away afterwards.
Which side do I use first?
The nylon side. Spray your interior cleaner onto the surface and onto the nylon face, then agitate gently until the area is clean. Flip to the microfibre side and wipe away the cleaner along with everything it has lifted, before it dries back onto the surface.
Is it safe on leather?
On finished leather, yes, with light pressure and a suitable interior cleaner. Let the product do the work rather than the bristles, and always follow with the microfibre side. Take more care on perforated leather, and test first on suede, where the nylon face can disturb the nap.
What is the difference between the mitt and the Interior Scrubbing Pad?
They use the same two materials and do the same job in different shapes. The pad is a flat 13 by 8cm rectangle held in your hand, which covers broad flat areas faster. The mitt fits over your fingers, so pressure comes from your fingertips, which makes it better for tight spaces, seams and stubborn spots that need real control.
How do I clean it?
Rinse the nylon side in clean warm water between heavily soiled areas so you are not moving dirt around, then machine wash at 30°C with Duel Laundry microfibre wash detergent and air dry. Never use fabric softener or dryer sheets, and wash it separately from other fabrics.
How many do you get in a pack?
Two. Most people use one for the dirtiest work and keep the second cleaner for finishing, or simply run one on each hand for larger jobs.
