What Does Snow Lux Apple Alpine Actually Do?
Traffic film is the greyish layer of road grime, exhaust residue and oily dirt that builds up on a car between washes. It's stuck to the paint by the oily part of that mixture, so a plain rinse won't shift it — and if you go straight in with a wash mitt, you drag that grit across the paint.
A snow foam is a pre-wash: you lay it on before the contact wash and let it do the first pass. Apple Alpine is alkaline, which is the right end of the pH scale for breaking down grease and road grime, and it's built to cling as a thick foam so it stays on the surface and keeps working while it dwells. As it runs off, it takes loosened dirt with it.
The green colour and sour apple scent are there for the experience, not the chemistry — the cleaning comes from the alkaline formula underneath. The real benefit is what happens over time: the less grit on the paint when your mitt touches it, the fewer fine scratches each wash leaves behind.

How To Use Snow Lux Apple Alpine
Rinse the car first with a hose or pressure washer to clear loose debris. This also cools the panels — applying to a warm surface in direct sun can make the foam dry on, which you want to avoid.
Dose it into your snow foam lance — there's a full breakdown in the dose guide below. Gloves are recommended, as the colour can stain hands, and keep it off porous surfaces and fabrics.
Cover the entire exterior in an even green layer, working top to bottom. On a really dirty car, apply Nitty Gritty first and lay Apple Alpine over the top to extend the working time.
Give it a few minutes to break down the grime, but don't let it dry on the paint. On a warm day, work in the shade and don't leave it too long.
Rinse the whole car thoroughly with a pressure washer — the paint should look visibly cleaner. Then move on to your contact wash knowing the heaviest grime is already gone.
Dilution
Applied through a snow foam lance and pressure washer. The standard, most economical dose is 50ml : 400ml water; step up to 100ml : 450ml water for a thicker, richer foam. Never allow the foam to dry on the surface, pre-rinse first, wear gloves as the colour can stain hands, and rinse thoroughly after dwelling.
