Element is our hybrid paste wax — the deep, warm gloss of natural carnauba combined with the durability of modern synthetics. It gives paintwork a rich, wet-look shine while the synthetic side adds real staying power, water repellency and resistance to detergents. Applied with an applicator disc and buffed to a mirror finish, one small tin waxes many cars, and it layers for even more depth and protection.

The Benefits

Why You'll Love It

Deep Carnauba Gloss

Prime T1 carnauba gives a rich, warm depth of shine that synthetic sealants can replicate but never quite match. Element brings that show-car finish to a tin you can keep in the boot.

Real Durability

The synthetic side adds real rub resistance, water repellency and detergent resistance. Three to four months minimum — though our own testing routinely sees it outlast that by several months.

Easy & Forgiving

Thin, even coats cure to a clear, easy-to-buff haze. Do a finger-swipe test and buff off when it breaks cleanly. It doesn't matter if you cure it a bit long — it still comes off.

A Little Tin, Many Cars

A quarter-turn of the applicator in the tin is all it takes per panel. One 100ml tin covers ten or more full-car applications — it goes far, especially when applied thinly.

How It Works

What Does Element Hybrid Wax Actually Do?

Traditional carnauba waxes give an unbeatable warm, deep gloss that enthusiasts return to again and again — but pure carnauba alone lacks durability and can be sensitive to water and detergents. Synthetic sealants last longer and resist more, but many produce a harder, colder finish that misses the depth carnauba delivers.

Element bridges both. It blends prime yellow T1 carnauba — the purest grade — with synthetic additives that add durability, hydrophobicity and rub resistance without compromising the warmth of the finish. You get show-car depth from the carnauba and practical staying power from the synthetic side.

On the car, that means a rich, wet-look gloss that sheds water, resists road film and lasts three to four months of real-world use — and frequently longer. Applied thin with an applicator disc, cured and buffed off with a clean microfibre, it goes on easily and layers well for anyone who wants to build extra depth or protection before winter.

The Result
"The deep, warm gloss of a carnauba wax with the durability of a synthetic sealant — in one tin. Element is the show finish that actually lasts, and we deliberately under-rate how long."

Suitability

Is It Right For You?

Ideal For
  • Anyone who wants a deep, warm carnauba gloss that also lasts
  • Enthusiasts who enjoy the ritual of applying a proper paste wax
  • Show-day finishes and weekend cars that get looked after
  • Layering for extra depth and durability before winter
  • Beginners wanting a forgiving first wax with a real finish
Consider An Alternative If…
  • You want to protect the whole car in minutes with no buffing — Flex sprays on through a lance
  • You just want a quick gloss boost between details — Oxide or Nitro mist on by hand
  • You won't prep the paint first — a wax bonds far better on a clean, panel-wiped surface
Safe On
  • All clear-coated paintwork — all colours and paint types
  • Glossy painted trim and badges
  • Over a freshly panel-wiped, decontaminated surface
Avoid / Take Care
  • Applying in direct sunlight or extreme temperatures — wait for the car to cool and work in shade
  • Matte and satin wraps or paint finishes
  • Applying too thickly — thin, even coats buff off far easier and leave a better finish
Application Guide

How To Use Element Hybrid Wax

1
Clean & Prep The Paint

Wax bonds to bare, clean paint. Wash and decontaminate the car, then prepare the panels with Panel Prep so the surface is oil- and residue-free. Work out of direct sunlight.

2
Load The Applicator

Load a wax applicator disc with a quarter-turn inside the tin — you need far less than you'd think. A little goes a long way with a paste wax.

3
Apply Thin & Even

Apply with thin, overlapping strokes — as thinly and evenly as you can, in circular or straight motions. Do one panel first so you can time the cure for the rest.

4
Cure, Then Buff Off

Let it cure, then do a finger-swipe test — if the swipe removes the wax cleanly without smearing, it's ready. Buff off to a mirror finish with a clean microfibre. Don't apply in direct sun or extreme temperatures.

5
Layer & Reapply

For extra depth and durability, wait 2–3 hours and add another coat. Each application lasts roughly three to four months or more; reapply when water stops beading to keep the gloss and protection topped up.

Detail
How long does it last, and how often should I reapply?
We rate it at three to four months, though our own testing has seen it last well beyond six — we deliberately under-rate durability to allow for weather, driving and wash frequency. Harsh detergents and heavy miles shorten it; careful washing and dry conditions extend it. Reapply when water stops beading, or layer before winter for longer protection.
What's the difference between a wax and a sealant like Flex?
A wax like Element is applied by hand with an applicator and buffed off, giving a warm, deep carnauba gloss with months of durability. Flex is a synthetic sealant applied through a foam lance for speed — it protects the whole car in one pass with no buffing. Element is about the finish and the ritual; Flex is about protecting the car fast.
Do I need to prep the paint first?
Yes, for the best bond and longest lasting result. Wax adheres properly to clean, bare paint, so wash and decontaminate, then wipe over with Panel Prep to remove polishing residues and oils. It's the single biggest factor in how well the wax bonds and how long it lasts.
Can I layer it?
Yes. Element layers well for extra depth of gloss and durability — apply your first coat, wait 2–3 hours for it to cure fully, then apply the next coat the same way. Two thin, cured layers always look and last better than one thick one.
What do I apply it with?
A wax applicator disc is ideal. Load it with just a quarter-turn in the tin and apply with thin, overlapping strokes. Less product, applied thinner, buffs off cleaner and leaves a better finish — resist the urge to use more.
What does 'hybrid' mean, and is it real carnauba?
Yes — it contains prime yellow T1 carnauba, the purest grade. Hybrid means it's blended with synthetic additives that add durability, rub resistance and water repellency. You get the deep, warm gloss of a natural wax and the staying power of a synthetic sealant in one product.
