Bahama Blue is our highly concentrated pH-neutral car shampoo. Just 15ml in a wash bucket makes a thick, slick suds full of lubricants and anti-marring additives, so your wash mitt glides over the paint and lifts dirt away instead of grinding it in. It's the contact-wash stage after your pre-wash — gentle on your wax, sealant or coating, and kind to your paint every single time.

The Benefits

Why You'll Love It

Glides, Doesn't Grind

Super-slick lubricants and anti-marring additives let your mitt slide over the paint, so loose grit is carried away rather than dragged across the surface. That's how you keep a car swirl-free wash after wash.

Incredible Suds

A thick, foamy lather that clings to the mitt and the panel, giving you a genuinely enjoyable wash and plenty of cushioning between the mitt and your paint.

Kind To Your Protection

Being pH-neutral, Bahama Blue cleans without stripping your wax, sealant or ceramic coating — so it's the shampoo you can reach for on every maintenance wash.

A Little Goes A Long Way

It's highly concentrated, so a small dose in the bucket is all it takes. Even the smallest bottle lasts a long run of washes, and the 5 Litre is superb value — the calculator below does the sums.

How It Works

What Does Bahama Blue Actually Do?

The contact wash — the stage where a mitt actually touches your paint — is where most damage happens, not on the road. Fine scratches and swirl marks come from dragging tiny bits of grit across the surface as you wash. A good shampoo's real job is to make that stage as safe as it is clean.

Bahama Blue does that in two ways. Its concentrated surfactants — the ingredients that grab and hold dirt — lift road grime off the paint and suspend it in the suds so it rinses away. Its lubricants and anti-marring additives then coat the surface so your mitt glides rather than grips, letting any grit slide instead of scratch. It's pH-neutral, which means it does all of this without touching your wax, sealant or coating.

Over months of ownership that combination is what keeps a finish looking new: a slick, protective wash that removes dirt without adding scratches, used on top of protection that stays intact. Add it after a pre-wash and you've got the two stages that do the most to keep swirl marks out of your paint.

The Result
"A slick, sudsy wash that lets the mitt glide and lifts dirt safely away — pH-neutral, so your wax or coating is exactly as protected after the wash as before it."

Suitability

Is It Right For You?

Ideal For
  • Every maintenance wash on a regularly cleaned car
  • Anyone with a wax, sealant or ceramic coating to protect
  • People who want a slick, sudsy, low-marring contact wash
  • Two-bucket washers looking to reduce swirl marks
  • Anyone who wants a shampoo that lasts — a little goes a long way
Consider An Alternative If…
  • You need to lift heavy grime before you touch the paint — that's a pre-wash job for Assault or Nitty Gritty
  • You're removing bonded contamination like iron fallout — a shampoo won't; Toxin will
  • You want a rinse-off foam rather than a contact wash — reach for a snow foam instead
Safe On
  • All paint types and colours
  • Wax, sealants and ceramic coatings
  • Glass
  • Plastic trim and rubber seals
Avoid / Test First
  • Letting the suds dry on the surface
  • Washing in direct sunlight or on hot panels
Application Guide

How To Use Bahama Blue

1
Pre-Wash & Rinse First

Foam and rinse the car first with a pre-wash to lift the loose grime. The less dirt on the paint before you make contact, the safer the wash.

2
Add 15ml To Your Bucket

Fill your wash bucket with water and add 15ml of Bahama Blue — one simple dose, no measuring games. See the mixing guide below.

3
Wash With The Two-Bucket Method

Using a soft wash mitt, work top to bottom, rinsing the mitt in your second (rinse) bucket between panels to keep grit out of the suds.

4
Work Panel By Panel

Keep the surface wet and don't let the suds dry, especially in sun or on warm panels. Re-load the mitt with fresh suds often for maximum lubrication.

5
Rinse Thoroughly

Pressure-rinse the whole vehicle until the water runs clear, then dry. The paint should feel slick and clean, with your protection still fully intact.

Mixing Guide

Dilution

15ml Bahama Blue = 1 Wash Bucket
1 Application

One simple dose, every time — 15ml of Bahama Blue into a bucket of water is all it takes for a full wash, so there's no ratio to work out. Wash with the two-bucket method, never let the suds dry on the surface, and rinse thoroughly. For more on how dilution ratios work, read our dilution ratios guide.

Detail
Is Bahama Blue safe on wax, sealants and ceramic coatings?
Yes. It's pH-neutral, so it cleans without stripping your protection — you can use it as your shampoo on every maintenance wash. As with any wash, don't let the suds dry on the paint; keep the surface wet and rinse thoroughly.
How much should I use?
One dose: 15ml of Bahama Blue into a bucket of water is enough for a full wash. Because it's highly concentrated you don't need much, and there's no ratio to judge — the same measure works every time.
What's the difference between a shampoo and a snow foam?
A snow foam like Assault is a pre-wash — you spray it on, let it dwell and rinse it off before touching the paint. Bahama Blue is the contact wash that comes after, where you use a mitt to safely clean the surface. Used together, they're the two stages that keep swirl marks out of your paint.
What should I wash with?
A soft wash mitt and the two-bucket method — one bucket of Bahama Blue suds, one of clean rinse water — so grit is rinsed off the mitt rather than carried back onto the paint. It's the single biggest thing you can do to wash swirl-free.
Is it really pH neutral?
Yes — it sits right around neutral on the pH scale, which is why it's gentle on your paint and protection. Note that the concentrate is still classified for safe handling (see Safety Information), so wear eye protection and keep it away from children, but on your paintwork it's as gentle as a shampoo gets.
What happens if the suds dry on the car?
You can get streaks or water spots. Work panel by panel and keep the surface wet, especially in warm weather or direct sunlight. If an area starts to dry, re-wet it and carry on, then rinse the whole car thoroughly at the end.
