Triple Twisted LoopMicrofibre Car Drying Towel
Size
The Triple Twisted Loop is our 1400GSM microfibre drying towel — the one that takes the water off after the wash without taking the finish with it. Twisted loop fibres pull water up into the pile rather than dragging it across the panel, and because there's pile on both faces you can flip it and keep going instead of reaching for a second towel. Two sizes, vivid green, and it comes in its own storage bag so it stays clean between washes.

Why You'll Love It
1400GSM with twisted loop pile on both faces means a lot of water capacity in one towel. Flip it when the first side is saturated and most cars are dry before you need to wring anything out.
The loops draw water up into the pile by capillary action instead of pushing it along the panel. Anything left on the paint goes up into the towel rather than across your clear coat.
Triple twisting puts more, finer strands into each loop than single-twist towels. You get the absorbency of a heavy towel without the harsh feel against paint.
Twisted loop pile recovers well from laundering. Wash at 30°C with Laundry, keep softener away from it, and it stays as absorbent in five years as it is out of the bag.
What Does A Triple Twisted Loop Towel Actually Do?
Most microfibre is woven into a flat or plush pile — a sheet of split fibres that soaks water in from the face. A twisted loop towel is built differently. Long strands of microfibre are twisted together into ropes, and those ropes are looped up out of the base cloth, so the surface is made of hundreds of absorbent columns rather than one flat face.
That structure changes how water behaves. Instead of soaking in slowly, water is drawn up between the loops by capillary action — faster, and far more of it before the towel gives up. "Triple twisted" describes how many strands go into each rope: more strands means more surface area per loop, and a noticeably softer feel than single-twist towels. Ours has pile on both faces, so the working capacity is roughly double a single-sided towel of the same weight.
Drying is the one stage where you put real pressure on paint with no lubrication left on the surface, and almost all the fine scratching you see in low sun comes from dirt being dragged during drying rather than during the wash itself.
"Drying is where most swirl marks are actually made. A towel that lifts water instead of dragging it is the cheapest paint protection you'll ever buy."

How To Use Your Drying Towel
No pre-wash needed. Take it out, shake it out, and it's ready to go. The triple twisted loops are already at full absorbency — just unfold it and start drying.
Take the nozzle off and let water sheet over the panels. Most of the water leaves with the sheet, and you've halved the work before the towel comes out.
Roof and glass first, then bonnet and boot, then the sides, and sills and shuts last. Working top-down means you never re-wet a panel you've already dried.
Lay the towel out on the panel and pull it toward you in one direction. Let the pile do the work. Pressure and circular buffing are what cause marring.
When one face stops taking water, flip to the dry side. Wring it out, then hang it to air dry — don't leave it damp and folded. You're drying a clean car, so it won't need washing often. Run it through the machine with Duel Laundry when it starts to lose absorbency or picks up visible grime.
Which Size Is Right For You?
| Size | Price | Best For | Coverage |
|---|---|---|---|
| 40cm × 60cm | £17.95 | Superminis, hatchbacks, city cars · glass, shuts and sills | A panel at a time · easy to wring one-handed |
| 50cm × 80cm | £23.95 | Saloons, estates, SUVs, vans · anyone drying more than one car | A bonnet or roof in a single pass |
Both towels are the same 1400GSM double-sided pile. Most people who dry regularly end up running both: the XL takes the panels, the 40×60cm handles glass, shuts and the awkward areas where a big towel gets in the way.
