Laundry is our microfibre wash detergent — a dedicated cleaner made just for your cloths, towels and mitts. Detailing products leave waxes, polymers and oils buried in microfibre that ordinary detergents can't shift, and fabric conditioners quietly ruin the fibres' absorbency. Laundry uses mild surfactants to lift those residues out, with no conditioners, so your microfibre comes out genuinely clean, soft and grabbing water like new. One 50ml dose per wash, machine or by hand.

The Benefits

Why You'll Love It

Protects Your Microfibre

It contains no fabric conditioners — the very thing that coats microfibre and destroys its absorbency. Wash with Laundry and your cloths keep their grab, softness and life instead of going slick and useless.

Shifts What Others Can't

Waxes, polymers and oils from detailing products are designed to resist ordinary detergents. Laundry’s surfactants are made to break them down, so residues actually come out of the fibres instead of building up.

Machine Or Hand

Use it however suits — 50ml in the machine drawer on a cool cycle, or 50ml in a bowl of warm water for a quick hand wash and soak. One simple dose either way, no guesswork.

Looks After Your Kit

Good microfibre isn’t cheap, and clean cloths give better, safer results on your paint. A measured dose per wash makes a bottle go a long way while keeping your whole collection in top condition.

How It Works

What Does Laundry Actually Do?

Microfibre works because millions of tiny split fibres grab dirt, oil and water. Detailing use fills those fibres with the very things they’re picking up — wax, polish, sealant and oils — and those residues are formulated to cling on, so a normal wash leaves them behind. Over time the cloth stops grabbing and starts smearing.

Ordinary laundry detergent isn’t built for that, and fabric conditioner makes it worse: it leaves a waxy coating designed to soften fabric, which is exactly what clogs microfibre and kills its absorbency. Laundry avoids conditioners entirely and instead uses mild surfactants — cleaning agents that surround and lift oily residue — chosen to release the polymers and waxes microfibre picks up in car care.

The result is cloths and towels that come out genuinely clean, soft and absorbent again, wash after wash. Keeping your microfibre in good condition isn’t just tidy — a clean, plush cloth is safer on your paint and gives a better finish than a clogged, scratchy one.

The Result
"Microfibre that comes out of the wash grabbing water like new. Laundry clears out the wax and polish ordinary detergents leave behind — and never coats your cloths in conditioner."

Suitability

Is It Right For You?

Ideal For
  • Anyone who uses microfibre cloths, towels or mitts for detailing
  • Restoring absorbency to cloths that have gone slick or smeary
  • Getting wax, polish and sealant residue out of buffing cloths
  • Looking after drying towels and wash mitts so they last longer
  • Anyone who has been ruining cloths with normal detergent and softener
Consider An Alternative If…
  • You need to clean the car itself, not the cloths — start with a shampoo or pre-wash
  • You’re washing ordinary household clothing rather than detailing microfibre — a normal detergent is fine for that
  • Your cloths have picked up tar or heavy grease — pre-treat the worst spots before washing
Safe On
  • Buffing, general-purpose and glass cloths
  • Drying towels and wash mitts
  • Applicators and coral fleece cloths
Avoid / Test First
  • Fabric conditioner or softener — it ruins microfibre absorbency
  • Tumble drying — air dry naturally instead
  • Hot washes — keep to a cool 30°C cycle
Application Guide

How To Use Laundry

1
Separate Your Microfibre

Wash microfibre on its own, away from cotton and other fabrics that shed lint. Grouping it together keeps your cloths lint-free and lets Laundry do its job on the residues that matter.

2
Machine: 50ml, Cool Cycle

Add 50ml of Laundry to your detergent drawer and run a 30°C cycle (see the dose guide below). The cool wash protects the fibres while the detergent clears the residues.

3
Or Hand Wash & Soak

Prefer to hand wash? Add 50ml to a bowl of warm water, let the cloths soak and agitate them, then rinse thoroughly with clean water.

4
Air Dry — Never Tumble

Allow your microfibre to dry naturally. Do not use fabric conditioner and do not tumble dry — both damage the fibres and undo the absorbency Laundry protects.

Detail
Why do I need a special detergent for microfibre?
Detailing products fill microfibre with waxes, polymers and oils that are formulated to resist ordinary detergents, so a normal wash leaves them behind and the cloth stops grabbing. Laundry’s surfactants are chosen to break those residues down, so your microfibre comes out genuinely clean rather than slowly clogging up.
Can I use fabric conditioner or softener?
No — this is the most important rule. Fabric conditioner leaves a waxy coating that softens fabric but clogs microfibre and destroys its absorbency. Laundry contains no conditioners for exactly this reason, so never add softener to a microfibre wash.
How much do I use, and how many washes will a bottle do?
Use 50ml per wash, machine or hand. A 500ml bottle gives around ten washes, which works out at roughly £1.10 each. There’s no need to measure strength — it’s one fixed dose every time.
Machine or hand wash, and what temperature?
Either works. In the machine, add 50ml to the detergent drawer and run a cool 30°C cycle. By hand, add 50ml to a bowl of warm water, soak and agitate the cloths, then rinse thoroughly. Keep temperatures low to protect the fibres.
Can I tumble dry my microfibre afterwards?
No — air dry naturally. Tumble drying, especially on heat, damages the split fibres and can pick up lint and softener residue from previous loads. Letting cloths dry naturally keeps them soft and absorbent.
Will it get wax and polish out of my buffing cloths?
Yes — that’s what it’s built for. The surfactants target the waxes, sealants and polishing oils that build up in buffing and general cloths and resist normal detergent, releasing them from the fibres so the cloth grabs and buffs properly again.
