Gravity Show 2026, NEC Birmingham Gravity Show 2026 · 29–30 August · NEC Birmingham

Gravity Show 2026 ran on Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 August at the NEC Birmingham, and it was the show's tenth anniversary edition: six halls of modified, race, classic, super and hypercars, live drift and BMX outside, and a few hundred exhibitors in between. We were there for both days with two Porsches on the stand and a van full of stock, and we took our best ever show sales, up 37.5% on last year. Below is the full 2026 winners list, the cars worth knowing about, and an honest read on how the show has changed.

Our pick

The one we kept going back to was Detail Obsession. Two owners, two different cars, and both of them extended the build past the car and into the van, the trailer and the setup around it. That is not a paint job, that is a standard of care applied to everything in shot. It is exactly the mindset we build products for.

What Was on the Duel Autocare Stand?

Two cars, and we did not own either of them.

The first was a one of one carbon widebody Porsche Cayman, trusted to us for the weekend by our photographer, Matt Clifford. There is no second one of these. Handing over the keys to a car like that so it can sit on someone else's stand for three days is a level of trust we do not take lightly.

The second was a red 911 Turbo S making 1,000bhp, supplied by Alex at Ab Detailing, who was on the stand with us on the Saturday. Alex had his own moment that day. A friend's car, away for four years being rebuilt at Mad Dog, was unveiled in the hall at one o'clock, and the whole group walked down to watch it come off the covers. Four years is a long time to wait to see your own car again.

Behind the cars was the reason we were actually there: shelves of microfibre, chemicals and accessories, and a queue in front of them for most of Saturday.

Was Gravity Show 2026 Busier Than Last Year?

Yes, measurably. Our sales across the weekend were up 37.5% on Gravity 2025, which makes it our best ever show.

Saturday did most of that. VIP entry opened at nine rather than ten, so the hall had a crowd in it before we had finished our final walk round the stand, and it did not thin out. By the end of the day the shelves were genuinely bare. Sam had to send Nathan a stock list overnight so he could load the van and bring a full restock down for Sunday morning, and all of it was out on the stand by the time the doors opened again.

Sunday ran calmer, and that is worth knowing if you are planning your own visit. Footfall was noticeably heavier at either end of the venue than through the middle. If you are exhibiting in 2027, an end position is worth paying for.

Which Stands Were Worth Walking To?

Liberty Walk Europe took Exhibition Stand of the Year and deserved it on scale alone. The GTA theme, sand and all, was the most photographed corner of the hall. Seiko Works built something completely different: a setup so committed to its Japanese street theme that walking into it did not feel like being at the NEC any more. Elite ran a photo booth that printed you and your dream car onto a card you could take home, which had a queue on it all weekend and cost them almost nothing to run. There was even a tattoo setup taking bookings in the hall.

The lesson for exhibitors

The stands that pulled crowds were the ones giving people something to do or something to leave with, not the ones with the most product on shelves. We took a version of that approach with our Top Trumps cards and ended up hand delivering one to the owner of the Rocket Bunny Supra that features on it.

We also had good neighbours, which matters more than it sounds over two long days. Westforge were next to us with Ryan's yellow Audi, a car that was on our own stand last year, and Euro Stands were opposite. Sam and Lee got a proper catch up with Jack from Stjarnagloss too. We compete hard with Jack and we like him a lot, and both of those things are allowed to be true.

Is the Detailing Industry Stepping Back From Car Shows?

Here is the thing we could not stop noticing. Some of the biggest names in UK detailing were not at Gravity this year. Auto Finesse, to pick the most obvious example, were absent from the tenth anniversary edition of the country's largest indoor car show.

There are a few honest readings of that. Stand costs at the NEC are significant, and if your business is built on retail listings and paid social, a two day show can look like a poor return on paper. Others may have simply rotated their events calendar this year.

Our read is different, and it is the reason we keep booking. A show is the only place where several thousand people pick up your towel, feel the weight of it, and ask you a question to your face. You cannot get that from an ad account.

The 37.5% is nice, but the reason we came home happy is that we spent two days finding out exactly what people think of the products, from the people using them.

What We'd Do Differently at Gravity Show 2027

Three things, in case they are useful to you as well.

1
Treat the reveal times as a guide

We planned our filming around the published running order for the new car reveals and missed most of them, because the reveals ran closer together than the sheet suggested. If there is a car you want to see come off the covers, be in that hall early and wait.

2
Know that VIP entry is an hour before general admission

Doors for VIP were at nine. If you are exhibiting, be show ready at half eight, not ten.

3
Bring more stock than you think is sensible

Then bring more than that. Running out on the Saturday of a two day show costs you real money, and no amount of overnight logistics fully fixes it.

Frequently Asked Questions

When was Gravity Show 2026?
Gravity Show 2026 took place on Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 August 2026 at the NEC Birmingham, B40 1NT. It was the show's tenth anniversary, and it ran across six halls with outdoor live action.
Who won Best in Show at Gravity Show 2026?
Best in Show went to the white Audi S2 Quattro from Quattro Coachworks. The People's Choice Award, voted for by visitors, went to the green Mazda RX-7 displayed on the Haltech stand.
When is Gravity Show 2027?
Dates for 2027 had not been confirmed at the time of writing. Gravity has run over the August bank holiday weekend at the NEC in recent years, so expect a late August date and watch gravityshow.co.uk for the announcement.
Is Gravity Show worth going to?
If you are into modified, classic or performance cars, yes. Six halls of cars means you need most of a day to walk it properly, and a weekend ticket is the better call if you want to see the live action and the halls without rushing. Saturday is the busier and more atmospheric day, Sunday is easier to actually get near the cars.
Where can I buy the products from the Duel stand?
Everything we had on the stand is on this site. If you picked something up at the NEC and want to reorder it, start with the microfibre range, which is what emptied fastest over the weekend.

The Final Word

Ten years in, Gravity has become the show that the rest of the UK calendar is measured against, and the 2026 edition earned that. For us it was two Porsches we were privileged to be lent, a photographer and a detailer who trusted us with their cars, empty shelves by Saturday teatime, and our best ever weekend by 37.5%.

Thank you to everyone who came to the stand, to Matt Clifford for the Cayman and for every photo in this post, to Alex at Ab Detailing for the 911, and to Nathan for a stock run at short notice that saved our Sunday. See you in 2027.
